PUBLIC SECTOR WORK EXPERIENCE
As a government employee, Hugues-Albert led and managed various compliance reviews, performance audits, internal audits, quality assurance reviews, and risk-based audit plans at the Office of the Auditor General of Canada, Public Safety Canada, and Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation.
CONSULTING EXPERIENCE
As a consultant for one of Canada’s largest accounting and management services firms, Hugues-Albert led and managed a wide-range of internal audit, corporate risk profile, risk-based audit planning, and management review engagements for various public sector organizations, including the Office of the Auditor General for the City of Ottawa, Environment Canada, National Defence, Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission, and Canadian Museum of History.
TRAINING EXPERIENCE
More recently, Hugues-Albert managed the delivery of the professional development program at the Canadian Audit and Accountability Foundation (CAAF) where he developed and delivered training courses to Canadian and international public sector auditors on several topics, including:
- Audit Fundamentals;
- Root Cause Analysis;
- Engaging the Auditee;
- Managing Audit Projects; and
- Evidence Collection and Analysis.
Hugues-Albert also delivers training courses on behalf of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and served as Vice-President of the IIA Ottawa Chapter until June 2024.
